How to authenticate this pressing

Specific verification cues for this exact variant.

The catalog number 2C 062-04433 Y with the prefix 2C clearly identifies the disc's country of origin. The "2C" prefix is assigned to France in EMI's pan-European numbering system. The rest of the number 062-04433, however, does not directly indicate the country, as it is common to all of continental Europe.

The text "Made in France by Pathé Marconi" is the second identifying element and also indicates the producer. Pathé Marconi is the French branch of EMI, the local manufacturer and pressing plant.

On the right side of the label is the "BIEM" logo, the symbol of the international federation of mechanical rights organizations, used on French releases of the time. The German release had "GEMA" in this position, and the Dutch release had "STEMRA" on later releases. Additionally, at the bottom of the label field, we read "The disc is used with a mono recording." This is a French expression indicating that a stereo record can be played on mono equipment. The language of this annotation itself indicates the French market.

Importantly, none of the above features indicate the year of pressing.
