How to authenticate this pressing

Specific verification cues for this exact variant.

The first Danish pressing of Let It Be (the one from the May box set and the November single album) was pressed on YEX 773-3U / YEX 774-2U matrices, variants of the second British pressing. The record also bears the original catalog number PCS 7096, so identification details should be sought on the label and the back cover. First and foremost, the inscription "Made In Denmark" is clearly visible on the left side of the label on both sides, which definitively settles the question of country of origin. On the back cover, you'll find the red Apple logo with the text "An E.M.I. Recording," unique to the British box set, which was replaced in November 1970 with a cover featuring a green apple. In Denmark, albums with the red apple cover were released.

Historical context & other notes

All components of the box set match the UK edition, and were imported from the UK to Denmark, with two exceptions: the vinyl, which has "Made in Denmark" stated on labels but most probably was pressed in Germany, and the sleeve, which was probably printed in Denmark. The Danish sleeve differs from the UK sleeve because it features two flipbacks at top and bottom of the back cover; in the Danish boxset edition, these flipbacks were white (rather than black, as on other Danish sleeves).
