“Let It Be” is a song by The Beatles, released on March 6, 1970, as a single and the title track of the album of the same name. The song was written and performed by Paul McCartney, although, just as with “Hey Jude,” it is credited to the Lennon–McCartney duo. Undoubtedly one of The Beatles’ greatest hits. The song is considered by many music critics to be one of the most beautiful songs of all time. It is also the last single released before the band’s official breakup.
