The EP was released in a gatefold sleeve which also contains a 24 pages long children's book based on the movie. The first pressing came out with a blue lyric sheet in the centre of booklet. The second pressing has a yellow sheet.
Historical context & other notes
Magical Mystery Tour is the soundtrack to the Beatles television film of the same name. The film's music was released on a double EP in the UK on December 8, 1967. However In the USA Capitol Records decided to change it into LP by adding 5 more tracks and released it on November 27, 1967. In Germany, the album was not released until September 16, 1971.
