How to authenticate this pressing
Specific verification cues for this exact variant.
"Her Majesty" was originally not printed on the side B label. Seeing it on the label identifies a third or later pressing.
The album covers in the first edition released to the market were printed with the Apple Records logo incorrectly placed on the back of the cover (the green apple under the track list is moved to the left edge).
Historical context & other notes
Abbey Road is the last album the Beatles recorded together. The record took the name from the street in the Westminster, where EMI's recording studios are located and where most of their recordings were made. With over 31 million copies sold, Abbey Road is one of the most successful albums worldwide. For many it is the best Beatles record.
